Alessi - Crevasse Vase
Structural in shape the Crevasse vase from Alessi cleverly uses different shaped edges and angles to create the illusion that the vase is twisted. At a tall 42cm it's perfect for creating a dramatic display of long-stemmed flowers.
It was designed for Alessi by Zaha Hadid, an Iraqi-born architect who studied in London and went on to teach in Vienna and the USA. Her projects ranged from the Mind Zone at the Millennium Dome in London, a tram station in Strasbourg and a ski jump in Innsbruck. Whilst the pieces she designed for Alessi are few they are united in their intricate structural forms.
